Welcome to Qlick. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and link management service (the "Service"). By creating an account, shortening a link, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Service
Qlick lets you shorten long URLs into compact, shareable links, generate QR codes, and track click analytics. Some features are available for free; others require a paid subscription as described on our pricing page.
2. Your Account
To use most features you need to register an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to create, host, or redirect to any content that:
- Is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or violates the rights of others;
- Distributes malware, phishing pages, spam, or unsolicited commercial content;
- Promotes violence, hate speech, harassment, or sexual exploitation;
- Infringes intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- Attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the Service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts, disable links, and cooperate with law enforcement if we detect violations.
4. Plans, Payment, and Refunds
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method until you cancel.
You can cancel any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then. Charges already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
We may change pricing or plan features. We will give reasonable notice before changes apply to your existing subscription.
5. Your Content
You retain ownership of the URLs you shorten and the metadata you provide (link titles, custom aliases, descriptions). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and serve that content solely to operate and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for the destinations your shortened links point to. We do not endorse third-party content reached through our links.
6. Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content we author, is owned by Qlick and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
7. Service Availability
We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, third-party outages, or events beyond our control may temporarily affect the Service. We may also discontinue features at any time.
8. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or fail to pay fees. Upon termination, your links may be deactivated and your data deleted.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or always available.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Qlick and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved by the competent courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
